Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Bills Officer to join the Trade Finance team. This role involves handling end-to-end trade processing and providing operational support across a wide range of trade finance products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process trade finance transactions, including data entry and document handling, for products such as
• Import and Export Letters of Credit (L/C) - advising, amendments, re-advising, corrections, transfers, and negotiation
• Outward and inward collections
• Disbursements, document checking, acceptance, and payments
  Trust receipts, banker's guarantees, discounting, and trade-related loans
• Perform journal entries and support month-end reporting activities
• Execute compliance checks including sanctions screening (e.g., countries, vessels, shipping routes, company names)
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system enhancements, and departmental projects when required

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in Trade Finance operations
• Good knowledge of trade finance rules and standards such as UCP600, ISBP745, and ISP98
• Experience in vetting trade documents; CDCS certification is an added advantage
• Familiarity with LC issuance processes
• Exposure to system enhancement projects or UAT is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Collaborative and proactive team player
