We are looking for a highly-motivated postdoctoral fellow to work on the project "Disruptive & Sustainable Technologies for Agricultural Precision" a research programme funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF).

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing platform technologies for diagnosis of abiotic stresses
• Developing CRISPR leaf vegetables that are tolerant to abiotic stresses

Requirements:

• PhD in the field of plant molecular biology, biochemistry or agricultural biotechnology
• At least one first-author paper in an international peer-reviewed journal
• Prior research experience in chemical biology (metabolites analysis) and/or synthetic biology will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
