Retail Assistant

We are seeking for a Retail Assistant for our client, you will be the face of their store, delivering excellent customer service, operating the cashier counter, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and tidy. You'll play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while supporting store operations.

Customer Service & Sales Support
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer product-related questions and offer recommendations
- Support promotional campaigns and upselling where appropriate
Cashiering Duties
- Operate POS system and handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately
- Process refunds and exchanges according to company policy
- Ensure proper cash balancing at the end of the shift
Store Operations
- Replenish and arrange merchandise on shelves according to planogram
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store
- Monitor stock levels and assist in stocktaking activities
- Check product expiry dates and ensure items are well-labeled and in good condition
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all in-store SOPs and adhere to company policies
- Comply with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards
Requirements:
- Minimum Secondary education or equivalent
- Prior retail or cashiering experience preferred (training provided)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-oriented with a positive attitude
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
