As a Staff Nurse, Cardiovascular, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assist the radiologist in diagnostic related procedures including interventional radiology procedures.
• Provide quality nursing care to the patient using nursing process approach comprising of Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation in the Closed Monitoring Unit.
• Provide patient education on pre and post procedures.
• Prepare patient for procedure by serving all necessary pre-medications and shaving the appropriate site.
• To assist in procedures and prepare the various instrument trolleys required in various interventional procedures.
• Monitor the patient's conditions after a procedure in the Closed Monitoring Unit.
• Notify cardiologist or attending doctor of any abnormalities.
• To ensure safety to patient when applying principles of administration of contract media, taking into consideration the contra-indications and history of patient.
• Perform cannulation, blood taking and drug administration.
• Provide patient care in Cardiovascular Suite and to assist in interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• To respond and manage emergency situations in an efficient and calm manner, e.g. in Code Blue.
• To perform other assignments as and when required by the Nurse Manager/Clinician.

Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma in Nursing with valid SNB registration
