Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production activities for Unit Assembly, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate defects or bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, quality, supply chain, and customers, to ensure seamless operations and delivery of business objectives.
- Define, set, and manage KPIs to drive continuous improvement, monitor production performance, and achieve organizational targets.
- Responsible for specifying production schedules and monitoring progress, as well as optimizing resource allocation.
- Raising the level of the production by training/coaching to improve production management /supervisory skills.
- Conduct in-depth workflow analyses to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing strategies to optimize operational efficiency across production processes.
- Utilize Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify process inefficiencies, reduce waste, and streamline production flows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and maintain high-quality standards across all production areas.
- Conduct regular process audits and performance evaluations to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to production teams, ensuring adherence to Lean principles and fostering a culture of operational excellence and innovation.
- Lead Kaizen events, workshops, and other continuous improvement activities to engage employees and promote operational efficiency.
- Drive the implementation of new technologies and manufacturing methods that support digital transformation and innovation.
- Design and deliver training programs to address training needs in leadership and Lean principles.
- Other responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operational / manufacturing management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operational excellence or continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in managing production operations and leading cost-saving initiatives, process optimizations projects.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with VSM, process flow analysis, and root cause problem-solving.
- Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in manufacturing, such as production planning systems, MES, ERP, and data analytics platforms.
- Excellent leadership quality, strong spirit of teamwork, proactive and initiative.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in leading teams, conducting training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with machine tool manufacturing processes and technologies is an advantage.
