Role:

This is a full-time, onsite, Teachers' Aide cum Admin Assistant (Science, Mathematics &General Administration functions) role in MOE Primary School. If you are selected,

You will work closely with Admin Manager and Principal / Vice Principals in an MOE Primary School (nearest MRT-Clementi ) in the day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:

Science-related (Lab Preparation Work):

• Pack and prepare Primary 3 to Primary 6 experimental materials and apparatus (E.g.: SPARKLE Kits) materials based on activity book and other ad-hoc Science/extension activities

• Set up, and maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus for experiments and practical sessions in the Science Laboratory.

• Ensure proper labelling, storage, and organisation of chemicals,specimens and equipment.

• Support Science teachers in preparation of practical lessons

• Coordinate and manage Science-related activities during recess

• Report any malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly.

• Design and create resources for ad-hoc Science enrichment activities.

Hydroponics System Maintenance Duties : (Instructions and manual will be provided)

• Perform routine checks and maintenance of the school's hydroponics system to ensure it functions properly.

• Monitor and maintain water levels, nutrient concentration, and pH balance according to guidelines.

• Clean and inspect system components such as tanks, pipes, trays and pumps regularly.

• Assist in planting, harvesting and replanting activities as part of the hydroponics cycle.

• Report any issues or malfunctions to the relevant staff promptly.

Mathematics-related:

• Assist Math teachers in preparing, organizing and distributing teaching aids, manipulatives and lesson materials.

• Support the creation of customized worksheets, teaching tools, and consumables (e.g. counters, fraction kits, measuring tools etc).

• Organize, label and store materials systematically to ensure easy access for teachers.

• Design and create resources for adhoc math enrichment activities.

General Administrative support duties:

• Answering and directing phone calls

• Photocopying, scanning and printing documents

• Supporting the planning and execution of office events and meetings

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in science-related fields (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Applied Sciences) OR

• Laboratory Technology / Biomedical Science, OR

• Education with a strong emphasis in Science or Math subjects.

Experience

• 1 year of experience working as a lab assistant, technician, or in an educational support role (in a school or similar institution)

Skills

• Ability to manage inventories, prepare practical lesson setups, and maintain proper records.

• Relatively proficient in using basic ICT tools and technologies, including spreadsheets, simple maintenance logs and report forms.

• Good communication skills to coordinate with teaching staff and supporting students' learning

• Able to follow instructions accurately and work independently or in a team.

Summary:

Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Wednesdays : 7:30am to 1:30pm, excluding 1 hour lunch break

• Thursdays to Fridays : 7:30am to 1.00pm, excluding 1 hour lunch break

• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
