Job Scope:
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers by building respectful and responsive relationships that support secure attachments and consistent daily routines.
- Support the implementation of a high-quality curriculum that is culturally and developmentally appropriate, guided by current early childhood education theories.
- Utilize observation and documentation practices to assess each child's developmental progress-cognitive, social, emotional, and physical-informing planning and encouraging family involvement.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic setting by complying with health and safety guidelines, and remain vigilant in identifying and addressing any signs of emotional distress, abuse, or neglect.
- Build and maintain strong, respectful partnerships with families and work collaboratively with community partners to ensure continuity between care and learning environments.
- Participate actively in team planning, quality improvement efforts, and centre-based initiatives, while staying committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
Requirements:
- Hold an Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) or an equivalent qualification recognized by ECDA.
- Have at least 2 years of relevant experience working with infants and toddlers.
- Knowledgeable about ECDA's policies, regulations, and quality assurance frameworks.
