Assistant Projects Manager

Main Scope:
Assist in overseeing all phases of the projects, making sure the project is completed on time and within scope and budget. This role works closely with various third parties eg sub-contractors, landlord etc to establish timelines and calculate material costs etc.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
• Assist in projects work including but not limited to conceptualise, performs analysis and execution of the projects;
• Work as the point of contact between Client and the company;
• Liaise and coordinate well with the team as well as external parties (eg sub contractors, clients, landlords) on projects related matter while maintaining a positive and good business relationship with the various parties;
• To facilitate meetings or discussions with the stakeholders;
• Provides timely updates on project progress and provide the required reports to Management;
• Responsible for and ensures that employees including those under sub-contractors comply with the workplace health and safety, risk management and other related regulations etc;
• Follows up closely on site works and monitor work schedules so as to meet project expectations and to meet stipulated datelines;
• Identify and resolves operational issues while minimizing impact on budget and timeline;
• Performs quality checks on work done and makes corrective actions;
• Ensures cost control measures are in place by negotiating with sub-contractors while not affecting the quality of output;
• Prepares and submits project estimates/quotations to Management and to clients after approval;
• Prepares and submit the necessary documents to landlords as per their requirements;
• Support superior in leading and mentoring the Projects team and ensures they fulfil their job requirements and meet company expectations;
• Ensures accuracy of work output and that staff movement/duties and overtime payments are justifiable and well allocated and well managed;
• Verifies and ensures the accuracy of payments and its terms to sub-contractors and suppliers;
• Close monitoring of accounts receivables from clients according to the progress of the projects;
• Administrative duties as required and maintaining a proper documentation system; and
Any other adhoc duties as assigned by Superior or Management.
