The position offers a leadership opportunity, leading small deal teams, with principal lending responsibility for some of the most complex, specialised industry verticals across the Asia Pacific, ranging from Real Estate, Utilities, Offshore & Marine, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Metals & Mining, Natural Resources, Media & Technology, e-Commerce, Financial Institutions and Acquisition Financing. The role will sit within the Regional Credit department, reporting directly to the Head of Regional Credit. The successful candidate can expect frequent, regular interactions and presentations to senior management, including the executive directors, the CEO and Chairman at the credit committee forum.

Responsibilities

• Leading the deal from the financing/credit perspective and expansive opportunity to showcase deal leadership to senior management with significant visibility to the CEO.
• An authority on credit considerations, a debt structuring partner and expert/consultant resource to business units.
• To lead the conversation (from a credit perspective) on new opportunities in the screening committee forum.
• Deal structuring, negotiation and developing bankable financing for the firm.
• Primary responsibility for the internal credit application process. Lead the deal team's presentation of the financing proposals to the credit committee, and delivering on credit approvals to the client.
• Lead loan documentation negotiations and structuring discussions with the client. Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and credit policy guidelines.
• Guide and coach, the junior team members, developing them professionally, with an active interest in their personal development.
• Other ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant disciplines.
• About 12-15 years of working experience in private credit and lending space.
• Experience in private credit funds, private equity and investment related outfits will be advantageous.
