We're looking for a creative and resourceful STEM Educator & Content Creator to design theme-based workshops and produce fun, engaging Science and Math content that inspires curiosity in students aged 7 to 10.

[Your Role As Our STEM Educator & Content Creator]

As our STEM Educator & Content Creator, you'll play a key role in launching a new growth area for our business - seasonal, theme-based workshops that blend storylines, hands-on activities, and exploratory learning for younger students. You'll also work on creating engaging, media-friendly content to showcase these learning experiences and help students under these three key areas:

Curriculum Design

• Design our theme-based STEM workshop curriculum: You'll be required to translate Science and Math concepts into fascinating storylines and fun hands-on activities.
  Storylines: Take a look at our socials and you'll notice that using illustrated characters is a huge part of our visual DNA. We're looking to base the storylines on our mascot and other illustrated characters, which will help ensure originality in our workshop concepts & strengthen our branding.
  Activities: Each theme/storyline should include specific learning outcomes.
• Lead the preparation of our STEM workshops: From the procurement of materials to the development of scripts, you'll be working behind-the-scenes to bring these workshops to life.
• Propose experiment/activity ideas for other use cases within the organisation: You'll be responsible for coming up with relevant Science experiments and Math hands-on activities, which will be incorporated into our weekly class/workshop curriculum.

Workshop Delivery

• Guide students through our STEM workshops: You will guide students and ensure they understand scientific principles and procedures through clear, concise instruction. You will also enforce safety protocols to create a secure learning environment.

Content Creation

• Create educational content: Develop bite-sized Science and Math experiments, demonstrations, and challenges and co-create engaging educational videos, infographics, and reels that simplify complex concepts in fun, visual ways with the Marketing team.

Skills & Experience

• Working experience in the STEM experiential learning space - whether in curriculum design, teaching, or content creation for Math and Science. Don't worry about checking every box - if you've had experience in any of these areas and are open to developing yourself further, we'd love to have a chat!
• Strong Project Management & Organisational Skills: You're proficient in creating timelines, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
• Issue Anticipation/Controversy Foresight: You're able to critically analyse ideas and concepts and anticipate potential issues/controversies. You also believe in taking pre-emptive approaches to potential problems by anticipating needs and thinking of back-up plans.
• Resourceful & Open To Experimentation: To succeed in this role, you'll need to be resourceful in sourcing materials and troubleshooting effectively to consistently achieve the outcomes of the planned activities as intended.
