Specific knowledge of laboratory equipment, chemical preparation, disposal procedures and the process of cleaning up hazardous spills
Basic computer knowledge including MS Word and Excel
Basic knowledge of classroom procedures (facilitating science experiments and group work)
Ability to work in a school setting
Ability to document and summarize information
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Ability to give advice, guidance, instructions and directions with regards to work flow and procedures

Experience working in primary school lab setting

Job Description

Work with Science level reps to prepare materials for Science lessons.
Prepare apparatus and materials for school's internal performance tasks.
Assist in invigilation of practical exams.
Work with Operations Support Officer (OSO) to maintain general cleanliness of Science labs and Rooftop Garden.
Maintain stock records and equipment lists.
Ensure adherence of safety practices in Science room.
Upkeep the condition of the Science labs and Rooftop Garden.
Assist teachers with Science related events eg. Discover Science (monthly), STEM Carnival, Hydroponics.
Sprucing up of Science labs with print-rich materials eg. displays, posters and concept cartoons.
Perform routine servicing and maintenance of equipment. Arrange repair where necessary of equipment by external agencies.
Care for Fauna and Flora within the Science Department in accordance with current regulations and practices.
Any other duties assigned by school.
