⏳ Duration & Working Hours

• Contract Period: 1 Jan 2026 - 31 Dec 2027
• Option to Extend: Up to 2 years (1 Jan 2028 - 31 Dec 2029)

Working Hours:

• School Term (Mon - Fri): 5 hours daily (varied reporting between 7:30 am and 3:00 pm)
• Fridays: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (inclusive of 1 hr lunch break)
• Not required on Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays

️ Scope of Services

Laboratory & Lesson Support

• Work with Science level reps to prepare materials for lessons.
• Prepare apparatus and materials for internal performance tasks.
• Assist in invigilation of practical exams.

Maintenance & Safety

• Maintain cleanliness of Science labs and Rooftop Garden (with OSO).
• Maintain stock records and equipment lists.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices in Science rooms.
• Perform servicing and arrange repair of equipment where needed.
• Care for fauna & flora within the Science Department.

Programme & Event Support

• Support teachers in Science events (e.g., Discover Science, STEM Carnival, Hydroponics).
• Spruce up Science labs with print-rich materials (displays, posters, concept cartoons).

️ Administrative Duties

• Document and summarize lab information accurately.
• Assist teachers with ad-hoc Science-related tasks.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

✅ Skills & Knowledge

• Familiarity with lab equipment, chemical preparation, disposal procedures, and hazardous spill clean-up.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
• Understanding of classroom procedures (science experiments & group facilitation).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Time management and ability to work independently in a school setting.
• Ability to provide guidance and instructions on workflow & procedures.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a primary school science laboratory is preferred.
