We are looking for Medical Laboratory Technologist to carry out diagnostic semen analysis tests as well as routine duties to ensure smooth functioning of the laboratory

Duties & responsibilities:

• Perform all semen diagnostic tests in accordance with laboratory protocols
• Receive and register lab specimens
• Receive and answer queries from customers
• Comply with good laboratory practice and lab safety requirements
• Assist with quality assurance programs, equipment maintenance, and general administration

Requirements and skills:

• Diploma or Degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Relevant experience in diagnostic molecular biology will be an advantage
• Able to work independently, as well as a team
• Good communication skills (written & oral)
• Basic computer literacy
• Meticulous attention to detail and precision
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information discreetly.
• Adaptability to new technologies and continuing professional development.

Specific Scope in Andrology:

• Semen Analysis: Performing detailed microscopic and macroscopic examination of semen such as sperm count, motility, morphology, DNA fragmentation and other factors essential for evaluating male fertility.

• Specimen Collection and Handling: Ensuring proper collection, labelling, and handling of delicate and sensitive reproductive specimens to preserve sample integrity.

• Use and Maintenance of Specialized Equipment: Operating specialized devices such as microscope, centrifuges etc.
