Job Description -

Employer: Yishun Town Secondary School (via Contractor)
Location: 6 Yishun Street 21, Singapore 768610
Contract Period: 1 Jan 2026 - 31 Dec 2028
Reporting To: Science Laboratory Technician / Science Department

Working Hours

• Mon - Fri: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (includes 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
• ❌ No work on Saturdays, Sundays, and Gazetted Public Holidays

Key Responsibilities

Practical Preparation & Support

• Prepare apparatus (e.g., glassware, safety goggles) and materials for science practical sessions and exams
• Accurately dispense chemicals as instructed

Post-Practical Operations

• Collect, clean, and safely store equipment and teaching materials after use
• Safely dispose of chemical waste according to protocols
• Wash and maintain glass apparatus

Laboratory Maintenance

• Replenish bench reagents before the start of each term during school breaks
• Maintain tidiness and organization in prep rooms and storage areas

Ad-hoc Duties

• Carry out other reasonable tasks assigned by the Science Laboratory Technician or Science Department staff

Required Qualifications & Skills

✅ Education:

• Minimum: Primary school education

✅ Experience:

• Prior experience in a science laboratory environment is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of laboratory settings and chemical preparation is beneficial

• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and reliability
• Able to work independently and follow instructions accurately
