Position summary statement:

The person is responsible for assisting the Director of Sales & Marketing with driving marketing coverage for the hotel by achieving key goals in digital marketing, PR, advertising and marketing communications. This includes social media, collaterals, partnerships, advertisements, photography and filming, and corporate social responsibility and media relations. He or she will actively support corporate campaigns and efforts that enhance the company's promotions and packages, company philosophy/management-style perspectives, and profit building for the hotel.

Every marketing communications piece should strive to impact the hotel's revenue objectives and be directed towards a specific goal. The communications of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group's Vision, Purpose and Values must be paramount in all activities and showcase the strength of the PARKROYAL brand. The candidate should have an understanding of this and assist with the implementation of such initiatives.

To guarantee success in this function, the ideal candidate must be proactive, resourceful and have an understanding of how to articulate marketing messages across all platforms and collaterals; how to manage social media; ability to communicate to multiple stakeholders including agencies, partners, management and other departments; ability to handle multiple priorities and projects effectively and to be able to work under pressure.

Primary Responsibilities:

Social media/ Digital Marketing
  • Supervise the management of emerging social media platforms, including TikTok and Xiao Hong Shu.
  • Collaborate with appointed agencies to conceptualise, curate, and publish compelling content that resonates with the brand's identity and connects with the target demographic.
  • Formulate and execute social media strategies to attain marketing objectives and enhance brand visibility.
  • Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns to drive traffic and achieve conversion goals.
  • Utilise analytics tools to monitor and evaluate social media performance, analysing key metrics and delivering performance reports.
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, methodologies, and technologies, integrating them into the overarching social media strategy.
  • Develop and manage social media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking expenses.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to comments and inquiries across social media platform
  • Develop and manage social media budgets and track expenses
  • Respond to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain relationships with social media influencers, engaging them in collaborative campaigns.
  • Source user-generated content and secure permissions for its usage.
  • Manage in-house Google ad marketing campaigns for F&B and Weddings, including search and display advertising.
  • Review Tablecheck and Google Analytics data to identify trends and insights, and provide recommendations for effective marketing strategies.
  • Assist the team in the creation of marketing assets as needed.

Collaterals
  • When a Graphic Designer is unavailable, produce basic artwork as needed.
  • Collaborate with agencies or graphic designers to develop top-tier collateral that conveys the brand's message and engages the intended audience effectively.
  • Handle requests related to the production of collaterals, including design, printing, and distribution, to ensure that all collateral is produced on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Photography / Videography
  • Manage professional photographers/videographers to ensure that the visuals are engaging and visually appealing.

Partnerships/Advertising
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that partnership activities are aligned with the overall business strategy. Manage partnerships with banks and other strategic partners to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Manage the submission of advertising artwork.

Sustainability Communications
  • Develop and implement a sustainability communications strategy that aligns with the organisation's sustainability goals and objectives.
  • Manage sustainability-related content, including press releases, web content, presentations, videos, social media content, and other materials.
  • Build relationships with like-minded partners to promote sustainability and enhance the organisation's reputation.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in sustainability communications, and provide guidance to the organisation on how to implement them.
  • Ensure hotel participates in annual environmental-related events, such as earth day and climate action week.
  • Identify and evaluate sustainability award opportunities and submit compelling entries to win awards
  • Plan CSR activities that involve employee engagement and community outreach, and develop compelling stories to showcase the company's CSR efforts

Public Relations
  • Collaborate with the PR agency and internal stakeholders to identify PR opportunities for the hotel and restaurant.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for the hotel to be mentioned or featured in media outlets.
  • Evaluate media and influencer complimentary stay requests, including reviewing their website, social media channels, and previous coverage, to determine their alignment with the hotel's objectives.
  • Determine and negotiate the deliverables, such as social media posts, blog articles, or video content, with media and influencer partners.

Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
  • To ensure compliance with PDPA as the Hotel's Data Protection Officer.
