The role will contribute to the Marketing, Communications & International Relations (MCIR) function of the organization, and will be crucial in supporting the publicity, communications, marketing, outreach and engagement efforts for Singapore's national supercomputing research infrastructure. The position will be responsible for administering marketing and publicity initiatives to their audiences, both locally and abroad, especially with the recent upgrading and growth of Singapore's supercomputing resources. The goal will be to grow mindshare and conduct activities that will aid the development and upskilling of Singapore's high-performance computing (HPC) and research community.
JOB SCOPE
The candidate will be part of the organization's publicity, communications, awareness and marketing plans for existing and potential new HPC users and stakeholders. The aim will be to promote HPC capabilities and educate local audiences about the benefits of HPC in advancing cutting-edge research. Key responsibilities include:
• Planning, coordinating and executing initiatives and activities to grow engagement with Singapore's HPC communities, especially with potential international partners.
• Developing, creating and maintaining high-quality, and engaging marketing content for a variety of channels, including newsletters, social media, website copy, and other marketing collaterals.
• Developing and creating publicity opportunities to promote HPC to new audiences, including crafting media releases, speeches/presentations, corporate stories and media engagement.
• Organising and executing events and engagement opportunities with current and new potential users (e.g. roadshows, seminars, webinars etc.).
• Supporting day-to-day department operations, including management of minutes, reports, administrative duties, budgets and procurement.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the center's communications and marketing activities, using data and analytics to inform future strategies and tactics.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of supercomputing, as well as emerging trends and best practices in communications and marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS
• University Degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to adapt, edit, summarise and present key communications for different audiences and channels. • Excellent networking, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives, locally and abroad. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience in organising meetings, events and conferences is an added bonus. • Knowledge of Adobe creative suite or design/graphic skills is a plus. • Good team player but with initiative and able to work independently when needed. • Experience with the technology or scientific research sector is desirable.
