Our client is leading apparel manufacturer is seeking a Senior Activewear Product Developer to join their team in Ningbo, China.

About the Location

Ningbo, China - A coastal city with a rich history in textile manufacturing and a thriving community of professionals in the performance apparel sector.

You shall leads the development of activewear garments from initial concept handover to final bulk production.

Acting as the primary liaison between international clients and factory operations, this person ensures that every sample meets performance, fit, function, and cost expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead seasonal development of technical activewear styles

Attend customer handovers and fittings; suggest viable fabric/trims

Assess technical risks and offer practical solutions for production

Review all samples for fit, construction, and performance features

Coordinate with sample rooms, sourcing, PPC, and factories

Ensure raw material availability and track sample/bulk timelines

Maintain clear costing records and modify them as per customer feedback

Submit all required approvals: lab dips, PP, TOP, and testing

Qualifications

Solid knowledge of technical fabrics, stretch, and functional trims

Familiarity with customer expectations in the performance space

Proven success in managing multiple styles under tight timelines

Highly organised with strong communication and problem-solving skills
