BAWA is recruiting a versatile, well-rounded staff member to live in Bali, manage its social media and content creation, and expand its reach globally. The goals are to increase the size and engagement of BAWA’s audience through diverse channels, increase awareness of BAWA in Bali and worldwide, and build stronger relationships between BAWA and its supporters.
This position will report to the Director/Founder.
The job is located in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. Some remote work will be considered, but most of the work must be on site in Bali.
Full-time employment.

Responsibilities
- Manage all of BAWA’s social media platforms, including collecting information from other BAWA staff, writing text, posting text and photos, and replying to comments and messages
- Write email appeals and newsletters, text for BAWA’s website, news articles, flyers, and brochures
- Coordinate with other BAWA staff to collect information for writing content
- Design brochures, flyers, posters, etc.
- Take photos, record videos and/or direct and manage BAWA staff photographers, edit the content, and make it available for BAWA’s communications
- Research social media platforms and make recommendations to set up new platforms
- Support the Director/Founder of BAWA with writing and other projects as needed
- Fill other roles and complete tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Excellent administrative skills including organization and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and ensure high-priority tasks are completed within deadlines
- Experience in communications and/or fundraising for animal charities is strongly preferred
- A background in animal welfare is a plus

BAWA provides numerous programs for sustainable improvement in animal welfare, including humane dog population management, One Health, disaster response, rabies control, and extensive education and advocacy programs. BAWA works directly to relieve the suffering of animals by providing emergency rescue, food and medication, and rehabilitation and adoption. These programs are supported by educational outreach to schools, universities and villages, as well as individuals.
