Roles Overview:

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to own and grow our presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok (primary channels) and as well Reddit, and YouTube (secondary channels), turning our expert knowledge and community stories into content that people actually stop and watch.

You'll be responsible for growing and nurturing UFIT's social communities, driving engagement, reach and quality leads through smart content, storytelling and experimentation.

This is a hands-on role: the right candidate is equally comfortable planning strategy, writing captions, briefing creators, jumping in front of the camera if needed, and deep-diving into analytics to understand what's working.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Channel Strategy & Growth
  • Own and execute social media strategy for Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok as primary focus channels.
  • Develop supporting strategies for YouTube and Reddit to amplify hero content, thought leadership and community conversations.
  • Set clear growth, engagement and content performance targets in line with overall marketing and brand objectives.

2. Content Planning & Creation
  • Build and manage a monthly content calendar across all channels (always-on + campaigns + launches + events).
  • Write on-brand copy for posts, carousels, reels, shorts, TikToks, and LinkedIn content.
  • Work with our in-house multimedia producer and designer to ideate, brief and produce high-quality content (educational, transformational, behind-the-scenes, community stories, etc.).
  • Repurpose content smartly across all platforms.
  • Support the Head of Marketing with copywriting for email marketing and basic web updates.

3. Community Management
  • Act as the day-to-day voice of UFIT on social: responding to comments, DMs, and questions in a timely and brand-consistent way.
  • Proactively engage with clients, partners, creators and relevant communities to build relationships and increase visibility.
  • Monitor Reddit threads and relevant forums, contributing helpfully where appropriate and flagging insight back to the team.

4. Creator, Coach & Client Collaborations
  • Work with UFIT coaches, physios, podiatrists and specialists across our different locations to bring their expertise to life on social in an accessible way and relevant way.
  • Identify, brief and manage creators / micro-influencers / EGC contributors, ensuring content aligns with brand and campaign objectives.
  • Coordinate content capture at events, workshops, and talks.

5. Performance, Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and report on key metrics: follower growth, reach, saves, shares, watch time, click-throughs, website visits, and leads where relevant.
  • Use insights to regularly test, learn and optimise formats, hooks, posting times and content pillars.
  • Share monthly performance reports with clear recommendations for what to do more of / less of / try next.

6. Brand & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Ensure all content reflects UFIT's brand positioning, tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Work closely with the wider marketing team on campaigns, launches, events and partnerships to ensure social plays a strong and integrated role.
  • Stay on top of social trends, platform updates and best practices - and translate them into relevant ideas for UFIT (especially in the health, fitness and wellness space).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, ideally in health and fitness, wellness, lifestyle or related consumer brands.
  • Proven track record of growing Instagram and/or TikTok accounts (please include examples/links in your application).
  • Up-to-date on the latest trends and features on social media
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms.
  • Comfortable creating short-form video - from ideation and briefing to publishing and optimising.
  • Confident with analytics tools and using data to inform decisions.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders.
