The Candidate
  • Should have in-depth experience in association marketing communication
  • Experience in Awards management will be a great plus
  • Has initiative and be independent in carrying out scopes assigned
  • Should be a good communicator to establish close working relations with various partners & stakeholders
  • Should have events organisation experience


(1) Marketing

FLA digital platforms (i.e. website, social media channels, GMB, youtube, etc) - fully responsible for
  • Content curation: Build & maintain an engaging & up to date FLA website where franchising and licensing resources and contacts are readily accessible
  • Increase visibility and awarenessof the association in all digital platforms (submit a calculated proposal of marketing budget for SEM, SEO, paid adverts, editorials etc on related/relevant platforms/channels vs projected outcomes for management's approval); execute/track/review/report outcomes diligently (monthly)
  • To research & propose additional outreach channels to boost FLA's branding and activities uptake
  • In charge of content proofing for all social media postings (including Facebook, GMB, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant/beneficial)
  • Conceptualise & design marketing and communication collaterals (i.e. emailers, social media posts, video clips, brochures, newsletters, etc)
  • Ensuring members' profile pages are updated
  • Develop/Grow relevant PR contacts and channels to bring up the awareness and branding of FLA, our activities/events & members (draft media releases where required)
  • Maximise FLA digital platforms/website fully (with aim to monetise where possible e.g. drive advertising uptake)

(2) Managed WSQ Courses - fully responsible for Performance of all 9x existing FLA WSQ Franchise / License courses
  • Sales KPI: At least 14 sessions per year - targeting 350pax of course participants by 2026
  • To ensure positive reviews from attendees(to maintain above 4.5 out of 5 for all courses)
  • Smooth execution of course run
  • Event timeline management from marketing to payment, print/delivery of updated course material for course facilitation/participant usage
  • Participants should be well supported (during enrolment and on-site)
  • Ensure successful renewal of FLA WSQ courses from SSG before validity period expires
  • Marketing: To develop new/revamp marketing communications (print collaterals/factsheets, video, ad buys, etc) that meets SSG guidelines; content should be clear & captivating communication of key learnings
  • To propose effective alternative/new marketing channels to expand/grow target audience/potential leads (FLA WSQ course attendees)
  • Operations/administrations: Close monitoring & timely follow-up with SSG on grant reimbursements
  • To fully understand and be responsible for SSG-TP course funding audit
  • Administrations: Ensures systematic filing (internally and externally to meet SSG requirements via TPG as well as audit) of course runs documentations

(3) FLA Awards & Presentation Ceremony (annual flagship event)
  • Accountable for P&L management
  • Event organisation
  • Review Awards Nomination details - propose relevant changes to streamline and sustain event (i.e. categories, schedules, etc)
  • Review publicity (Winners' Celebration Package) - propose, select & manage vendors
  • Marketing execution & Drive Nomination submission
  • Prepare and arrange for Judging
  • Drive Award winners' celebration (i.e. marketing/publicity) packages uptake
  • Prepare all logistics and administrations of Awards Presentation Ceremony
  • Execute pre and post Marketing/Publicity for Award Winners
  • Execute the Awards Presentation Ceremony

(4) General Association Support

(a) Membership support
  • Assigned membership account management/tracking
  • Weekly members' feature for business matching
  • To conduct Franchise diagnostics (competency assessment)

(b) General administrations (invoicing, payment follow-ups, etc) for assigned projects/scopes
  • Update FLA sub-committees on project progress
  • Involved in FLA EXCO meetings to update on project progress
  • Other roles when assigned as need arises


Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity and passionate in association/members' engagement functions
  • Related experience in organising Awards will be a plus
  • At least 5 years experience in events organisation
  • Exceptional marketing communication, writing (content curation) and interpersonal skills
  • Savvy in social media and marketing platforms for events publicity
  • Detailed-oriented, independent & proactive team player
  • Good people skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
