about the job

• Establish and uphold business standards in accuracy, productivity, and reliability
• Lead and develop a team responsible for import and export in ocean freight
• Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure smooth execution
• Prepare annual performance reviews and continuously reassess operational processes for improvement
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and corporate requirements
• Manage departmental budgets to align with overall business objectives
• Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures to support operational efficiency
• Monitor daily operations, providing hands-on support to resolve issues as needed
• Contribute to budget planning and assist in setting departmental targets
• Handle shipping claims and ensure proper resolution in line with company policy
• Address escalated customer concerns and negotiate claims where appropriate
• Prepare detailed performance reports and develop improvement plans
• Negotiate with carriers, warehouse operators, and distribution partners to secure favorable tariffs

skills and experience required

• Diploma in Supply Chain or any equivalent
• Prefer candidates with over 7 years of relevant experience in sea freight operations, including more than 5 years in a leadership.
