Logistics / Warehouse- Establish, strengthen and maintain good relationship with shipping lines
- Support Group's Business Units to procure best Ocean Freight Rates
- Active sourcing of competitive rates with carriers
- Collaborate with countries' procurement department to negotiate competitive rates
- Communicate and negotiate with carriers to maximize benefits of centralized negotiation
- Analyze ocean freight market trends in order to effectively execute procurement Strategies to enhance and maximize yield
- To execute pricing strategies and provide rates by liaising with Sales team for their RFQ preparation.
- Identify and cost reduction strategies to optimize freight costs.
- Consolidation of Market Information
- Ensure timely responses to rate requests and bids from business units
- Evaluate carrier's performance and quality standard
- Preparation of Monthly reports
- Any other duties assigned by Director of APAC Freight Forwarding Business Headquarters
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma Holder in any discipline
- Minimum 5 ~6 years' working experience in ocean freight procurement/ pricing operations.
- Good Knowledge in Maritime Industry and Shipping Practices
- Possess good carrier network and contacts
- Teamplayer
- Good working knowledge for MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
