- Oversee end-to-end air freight operations, including shipment coordination, customs clearance, and transport arrangements.
- Lead and manage the team in executing daily import/export processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Strategically liaise with airline partners to secure cargo space and optimize flight schedules based on customer needs.
- Supervise ground operations, ensuring smooth execution of SOPs and operational standards.
- Drive process improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders; identify and implement best practices across functions.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
- Oversee AWB issuance, FWB/FHL transmission, permit declarations, and CMD submissions.
- Provide operational insights and support to the sales team to enhance customer experience and business growth.
- Manage workforce planning, including shift rosters (0900-1800 / 1400-2300), and ensure optimal staffing across a 5-day rotating schedule.
- Mentor and train team members, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects or responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in air freight/logistics, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of airline coordination, permit declarations, and customs processes.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in freight management systems and relevant documentation (AWB, FWB/FHL, CMD, etc.).
- Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and weekends as required.
