The organization is a global logistics leader with a full suite of logistics services including freight forwarding, warehousing, removal, and supply chain solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision: Assist in leading, coaching, and guiding the Airfreight Import Customer Service team to ensure efficient end-to-end import process management
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily import activities including shipment documentation, carrier coordination, customs compliance, billing, and job closure, ensuring adherence to service standards
- Process Support & Improvement: Identify workflow bottlenecks, assist in implementing solutions, and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Performance Monitoring: Track team performance against SLAs and KPIs, provide constructive feedback, and escalate issues to the Manager when necessary
- Customer Service Support: Handle complex import-related inquiries and act as an escalation point for service issues
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Airfreight Operations, Customs, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of import shipments
- Policy & Procedure Compliance: Support the development and enforcement of import customer service policies, ensuring staff compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements:
- Proven supervisory experience in airfreight import customer service and operations
- Strong knowledge of airfreight import processes, documentation, and customs compliance
- Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making, with a focus on driving operational improvements
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills for managing teams and engaging customers
- Ability to motivate staff and maintain consistent service quality standards
- Hands-on experience with the CargoWise system is an advantage but not a must
