Our client is a well-established freight forwarding company. They're currently seeking a Freight Operations Manager as part of their expansion plan.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and logistics department
• Identify cost-effective routings and consolidation opportunities while considering transit time and security
• Oversee time-critical shipments, bulk mail, and financial research distributions from start to finish
• Negotiate service costs, authorize invoices for accounts, and manage key client relationships
• Maintain the Singapore branch Security Program, ensure compliance with Singapore Customs Regulations, and adhere to GDP and ISO Quality Management Systems
• Act as the point of contact for company escalation procedures and remain on call 24/7 for after-hour inquiries
• Manage internal security, company keys/passwords, petty cash, and the company cheque book

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain / engineering or related
• 8+ years of hands-on experience managing freight forward operations (air freight)
• Dangerous Goods by Air Certificate and be Customs Permit certified
• Experience in cold chain / lifescience logistics operation will be a big plus
• Experience managing petty cash and company financial assets
• Comfortable to work in east of Singapore (Expo / Changi / Tampines)
