✅ Requirements
- Manage and optimize ocean freight strategies across multiple shipping routes and vessel types.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate ocean freight risks - including exposure to market volatility, chartering risks, weather disruptions, and geopolitical events.
- Oversee barge operations and short-sea shipping logistics, ensuring alignment with bulk vessel movements.
- Negotiate charter party terms (spot, COA, time charters) and manage laycan scheduling, demurrage, and claims.
- Collaborate with internal trading, operations, and risk teams to align shipping strategies with trade flows.
- Maintain strong relationships with shipowners, freight brokers, port agents, and barge operators.
- Monitor shipping market trends, freight indices, and regulatory changes to provide timely strategic input.
✅ Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in ocean freight trading, vessel chartering, or shipping risk management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in managing ocean freight risks, including chartering volatility, laytime/demurrage, and contract exposures.
- Hands-on experience with barge operations and coastal/inland waterway logistics.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, charter party agreements, and international shipping regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in a dynamic, global trading environment.
- Fluent Mandarin/Chinese and English (spoken and written); any additional language is a plus
