Job Summary:

The Cloud Wintel L2 Engineer is responsible for the administration and support of Windows-based systems in cloud and hybrid environments. This role includes managing server performance, ensuring system security and availability, and troubleshooting issues at an intermediate (Level 2) level. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects, perform root cause analysis, and implement changes following ITIL best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) in both cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
• Perform patching and vulnerability management for Windows and VMware environments.
• Install, configure, and manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, and perform environment hardening.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS and VMware-related issues effectively.
• Administer Azure services, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and availability.
• Conduct regular system health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Remediate security findings from Web and Infrastructure Penetration Tests and Vulnerability Management System (VMS) reports.
• Manage IIS configurations and provide support for Microsoft Active Directory.
• Maintain SLAs by monitoring systems, updating documentation, and generating regular reports.
• Support backup and recovery operations using enterprise-level tools.
• Participate in ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Document standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Citrix administration knowledge is considered an added advantage.

Required Experience & Certifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows server administration.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Azure; AWS is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with VMware infrastructure and virtualization.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds or similar platforms.
• Strong grasp of ITIL framework and service delivery processes.
• Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications such as:
  Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate)
  VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
