The Role

The role is to gather, analyze and interpret data related to consumer behaviour and used to guide content creation, advertising strategies, platform development and overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, design and implement quantitative analytical frameworks, including scalable predictive models, customer segmentation and advertising optimisation that improve business performance and customer engagement.
• Institute and adopt best practices in data science, platforms and approaches.
• Establish internal organisational standards and benchmarks.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, document data and data integration requirements, and resolve conflicting business/data architecture rules.
• Ensure compliance with internal customer contact governance policies and drive closed-loop measurement through smart data capture.
• Support ad-hoc business intelligence and other strategic initiatives.

Your Profile

• PhD or MS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field.
• Understanding of analytical techniques and their application to business problems.
• Proficiency in data cleaning, transformation, and preparation techniques to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Understanding of data structures and data management concepts to support seamless data integration and analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Programming knowledge in Python, Java or Scala.
• Familiar with Cloud environment e.g. Azure.
• Demonstrate clear and thorough analytical thinking.
• Able to multi-task and deliver against timelines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Takes ownership or project that is being assigned.
• Able to work as an individual or as a team player to deliver high quality of work.
• Practical experience in data projects through internships, coursework, or independent projects.
• Experience with presenting and communicating data insights to stakeholders.
• Experience with NLP problems and hands-on experience in Spark will be advantageous.
