The Role

The role is to gather, analyze and interpret data related to consumer behaviour and used to guide content creation, advertising strategies, platform development and overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow the data science practice of the organisation, including guiding and mentoring a team of data scientists.
• Analyse and translate large amounts of data into meaningful, actionable insights for commercial purposes by applying various machine-learning and deep learning techniques.
• Lead, design and implement quantitative analytical models, including forecasting and predictive models, identity graphs, recommendations and various performance optimization initiatives to enhance business outcomes.
• Establish internal benchmarks and best practices in data science approaches.
• Support product development effort including understanding business needs, documenting data and data integration requirements, and resolving conflicting business/data architecture rules.
• Support ad-hoc business intelligence and other strategic initiatives.

Your Profile

• PhD or MS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in machine learning or advanced analytics, including designing, developing and deploying data science models.
• Relevant team management experience will be essential.
• Strong technical capabilities. Proven expertise in developing and implementing a full range of analytical techniques to address commercial challenges.
• Proficiency in at least one statistical analysis tool.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Java, C++, Python).
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Able to present findings to internal and external business stakeholders confidently.
• Basic knowledge of data engineering principles and architecture.
