Role Overview:

We are seeking a reliable System Administrator to manage day-to-day system operations and provide technical support for IT projects. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and assist with system upgrades and deployments.

Job Type: 2 years contract

Key Responsibilities:

BAU Operations

• Monitor and maintain servers, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and related infrastructure.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Perform regular system backups, patch management, and updates.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related system issues.
• Maintain and track IT asset inventory, including hardware lifecycle management and software licensing compliance.
• Ensure system security compliance and participate in audits.
• Maintain system documentation, configurations, and inventory.
• Respond promptly to service requests and incident tickets.

Project Support

• Assist in planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Configure and deploy new hardware and software as part of project initiatives.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement IT solutions.
• Support testing, validation, and post-deployment stabilization activities.
• Provide training and handover documentation to operations teams.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2-4 years experience in system administration or IT support.
• Proficient with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Experience with IT asset management and software license tracking.
• Knowledge of backup solutions, patch management, and system monitoring tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-call or during after-hours maintenance as needed.
