Job Summary:The IT Network & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's network and IT infrastructure systems. This role ensures the stable operation of the company's IT assets, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments, to support business operations and provide a secure, high-performing, and reliable technology platform.

- Network Management:
- Design, configure, install, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks, and other data communication systems.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues (e.g., latency, packet loss, connectivity), and optimize network efficiency.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access controls.
- Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage network devices such as routers, switches, access points, and load balancers.
- Server & System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) and associated operating systems.
- Manage and administer virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Monitor server performance, capacity, and security, performing regular patching and updates.
- Implement and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and other core infrastructure services.
- Oversee backup and recovery operations for servers and critical data.
- Storage Management:
- Design, implement, and manage storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS, object storage).
- Monitor storage utilization, performance, and integrity.
- Ensure data availability, integrity, and security across all storage systems.
- Cloud Infrastructure:
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of cloud-based infrastructure services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) as required.
- Manage virtual networks, virtual machines, storage, and security within cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud resource usage and optimize costs.
- Security & Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and best practices across the network and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and address identified security gaps.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and data protection regulations (e.g., PDPA in Singapore).
- Manage endpoint security solutions (e.g., antivirus, EDR).
- Troubleshooting & Support:
- Provide expert-level technical support for network, server, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software problems.
- Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., Helpdesk, Application Support) to resolve escalated issues.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, server builds, infrastructure diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Generate reports on network performance, system uptime, security incidents, and resource utilization.
- Project Participation:
- Participate in IT projects related to infrastructure upgrades, new system deployments, and technology enhancements.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to improve IT efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT network and infrastructure engineering roles.
- Proven experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs), routing, and switching.
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Practical experience with network security devices (Firewalls - Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Meraki, Palo Alto preferred).
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with Linux operating systems is an advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network hardware.
- Solid understanding of server hardware (Dell, HP, etc.) and storage systems (SAN, NAS).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of initiative, proactivity, and a strong sense of ownership.
- Good organizational and time management skills.

- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) / Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator (e.g., MCSA, MCSE equivalent)
