Data Center Manager

My client a well-established organization is looking for an experienced and proactive Data Centre Manager to take full ownership of the operations within its mission-critical data centre. This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuous uptime, operational efficiency, and infrastructure security, while also managing a skilled team and maintaining strong relationships with colocation clients and vendors.
As the Data Centre Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations, including power, cooling, physical security, and system monitoring. You will be responsible for ensuring that the facility runs 24/7 without disruptions and that all infrastructure components perform to the highest standard. Leading a team of technicians, you will set clear objectives, manage schedules, and review team performance regularly to drive continuous improvement.
Security and compliance will also be a key part of your responsibilities, including enforcing protocols and ensuring alignment with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2. You will manage vendor relationships, oversee service-level agreements, and ensure all external partners meet required performance standards.
In addition to managing operational budgets and forecasting for future capacity needs, you'll also be involved in supporting colocation clients throughout their journey-from onboarding and audits to daily service delivery. You will lead infrastructure projects such as inst allations, migrations, and system upgrades, ensuring that all initiatives are delivered on time and with minimal disruption.

Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, along with at least 10 years of experience in data centre operations and proven leadership skills.
- You should have strong technical knowledge across power, cooling, networking, and security systems, and be familiar with compliance and audit processes.
- Experience in data centre builds, site selection, and large-scale migrations will be an added advantage.
