We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our client's dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise-level Oracle and MS SQL database environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our database systems while supporting business continuity and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, implement, evaluate, configure, administer, operate, monitor, and manage Oracle Databases (12c / 19c) in a Linux environment.
  • Provide technical solutions and root cause analysis for database-related issues.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high system availability and reliability.
  • Manage data operations and support for Oracle database systems.
  • Implement and maintain high-availability solutions including Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
  • Troubleshoot real-time performance and tuning issues in Oracle environments.
  • Perform and manage database backup and restore operations.
  • Apply software upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.
  • Conduct full-spectrum database tuning including software configuration, memory usage, SQL optimization, and physical storage management.
  • Administer and maintain MS SQL Server environments (2016 and above), including Always On and Windows Clustering.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate and relevant information.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and exercises.
  • Respond to database-related incidents and service requests promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with company policies and best practices.
  • Perform change and release management in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Oracle patching (Standalone and RAC).
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure (Clusterware, ASM, Disk Groups), and Data Guard.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and Windows Clustering.
  • Proven experience in database migration and upgrade projects.
  • Good knowledge of database security practices, policies, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
