SIPEF is a Belgian company, based in Scholten and listed on Euronext Brussels. It currently operates agro-industrial activities in the production of oil palm products, i.e. fresh fruit bunches (FFB), crude palm oil (CPO), palm kernels (PK), crude palm kernel oil (CPKO), as well as natural rubber, tea, bananas, flowers and foliage. The subsidiaries located in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Ivory Coast employ more than 21 000 people.

Job Description

This position leads and manages the ongoing programs/projects at SIPEF Group. The GPM is responsible for the overall deliverables of the working within the established project management framework and project execution for all IT projects. In addition, working with the PMO and continuous improvements for this area this role also performs the critical project management responsibilities on key IT initiatives. This role also oversees/works with the local IT project manager and project teams for the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Activities Include
  • Interacts with and identifies corporate and country requirements for various operations and projects. Collects and compiles required data and information as inputs for projects.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure quality of systems with proper testing, monitoring and resolving of outstanding issues/bugs within the agreed timeline.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Develop a deep understanding on business functions and applications.
  • Progress and incident reporting to management in a timely manner.
  • Manage the relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Manage and identify potential risks and recommend mitigation controls.
  • Manage third parties/vendors in accordance with the vendor management policies and guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Support other strands of the programme of work as and when required.
  • Support multiple business transformation programs and project teams as a critical contributor to complex problems.
  • Collaborate and engage with project teams and suppliers on issue log, risk registers, training planning and execution.
  • Organize, plan and conduct training workshops for the project team.
  • Lead and conduct necessary research activities required by projects.
  • Regularly review progress and performance expectations with the local Management, Group CIO, IT PMO, and leadership teams, providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, training & development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field.
  • A minimum of 8+ years' experience performing project management role on complex projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (an advantage).
  • Experience in business analysis discipline.
  • Good understanding of complete SDLC, preferably in ERP implementations/rollouts.
  • Exposed to Infrastructure (Systems / Network / Security) projects.
  • Experience with lean concepts and applying them in a technology environment.
  • Experience managing an IT Portfolio or Project Management Office.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management position.
  • Experience managing external partner relationships and contract staff.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills and organization skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak and write about technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet goals, assess resource needs, develop schedules, monitor and communicate status, and develop processes and procedures.
  • Ability to take ambiguity and clarify for self and others.

Preference to candidates with
  • Experience with ERP implementation / rollout.
  • Exposure to Agri / Plantation domain.
  • Bahasa language (will be an added advantage) to liaise with our Indonesia operation

Reporting Line
  • The GPM reports to the CIO SIPEF Group.
  • He/she maintains frequent communication with colleagues within the group
  • He/she has a close interaction with all different business lines within the group

Working environment
  • Work location- Singapore with Global responsibility
  • Travel abroad occasionally
