Reports To: Cybersecurity Platform Lead

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer to support the deployment, integration, and day-to-day operations of key security technologies across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring the security tooling ecosystem is effective, resilient, and scalable across a hybrid environment.This position is well-suited for cybersecurity professionals who enjoy hands-on technical work and problem-solving. While experience in financial services is advantageous, we're open to candidates from other industries who bring strong security platform experience and a drive to work in a regulated and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Platform Operations
  Deploy, configure, and manage cybersecurity solutions such as SIEM, XDR, PAM, IAM, DLP, vulnerability management, and email security tools.
  Conduct health checks, optimize performance, and support incident detection and response through effective platform integration.
  Support tuning, rule development, and automation tasks to strengthen detection and response capabilities.
  Work with engineering and IT teams to integrate security controls into infrastructure and application environments.
• Implementation & Engineering
  Implement secure configuration standards across platforms in accordance with internal policy and industry best practices.
  Participate in technical reviews for platform changes, upgrades, and new deployments.
  Assist in building automations and integrations for cybersecurity workflows.
• Compliance & Documentation
  Ensure platforms are aligned with security policies and compliant with regulatory or audit requirements.
  Maintain platform documentation, including runbooks, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical discipline.
• 3-6 years of relevant cybersecurity engineering or infrastructure experience, preferably in a mid- to large-sized enterprise.
• Experience in financial services is a plus but not required-strong candidates from other sectors are welcome.
• Familiar with a range of cybersecurity technologies:
  Vulnerability Management (e.g., Qualys, Tenable)
  EDR/XDR (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
  SIEM/SOAR (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Cortex XSOAR)
  PAM/IAM/IGA (e.g., CyberArk, SailPoint)
  DLP, NIDS/NIPS, email defense systems, and cloud security tools
• Proficiency with automation or scripting (Python, PowerShell) for operations and tool integration.
• Comfortable operating in hybrid or cloud environments, with exposure to DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Proactive and collaborative team player who can communicate technical matters clearly.
• Eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic and evolving cybersecurity function.

Preferred Certifications

• Product or platform certifications (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, CyberArk)
• Industry certifications such as Security+, GIAC, or working toward CISSP/CISM is a plus
