My client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable data architectures that support our growing analytics and data science needs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Databricks, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and a strong command of modern data tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure data architectures across cloud environments.
• Lead the development and optimization of data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Define and enforce data governance, data quality, and metadata management standards.
• Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve data infrastructure.
• Ensure data solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
• Support data migration and integration efforts across systems and platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
• Some banking or financial services industry experience either directly or via professional services firms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark and Hadoop.
• Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Solid understanding of SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices for Singapore MAS, BCBS 239 etc.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Databricks, Azure/AWS/GCP, or related technologies.
• Experience with real-time data processing (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming).
• Knowledge of machine learning workflows and MLOps practices.
