We are seeking Data Center Shift Engineers (Mechanical) to join our Data Center operations team in the North and East regions of Singapore. As part of a leading carrier-neutral data center provider, you will be responsible for HVAC systems, CRAC units, chillers, fire suppression, and other mechanical components essential to data center uptime. The position involves rotating 12-hour shifts to provide 24/7 support on a 3-3-2-2 work rest pattern.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, operate, and maintain all mechanical systems including:
    • HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, AHUs
    • Pumps, valves, and piping systems
    • Fire suppression and detection systems (FM200, Novec, etc.)
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with OEM and internal standards
  • Respond promptly to facility alarms and emergencies, performing first-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Conduct daily shift inspections and maintain accurate logs for all mechanical systems
  • Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) to identify and resolve issues
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors during repair and maintenance works
  • Participate in the development and execution of Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental standards, and data center best practices
  • Support commissioning and testing of new systems and upgrades
  • Provide handover reports during shift changes and escalate issues as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in critical facilities, data centers, or industrial mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, chillers, CRAC units, fire protection systems
  • Familiar with monitoring tools like BMS, EMS, and CMMS systems
  • Physically fit and able to work in rotating 12-hour shifts (day/night), including weekends and public holidays
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures in a critical environment
