Role Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Lead for application operations hosted on azure Cloud, to analyze requirements, oversee and manage the offshore team supporting our customer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure cloud operations, APIM management, and Data Platform administration. They will be responsible for ensuring system availability, performance optimization, incident resolution, and seamless collaboration between offshore and onshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Operations & Support:

• Lead and manage cloud operations on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of services.

• Manage and support Data Platform, API gateway and other applications running on Azure.

• Ensure proper cloud governance, compliance, and security best practices.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Lead and mentor the offshore team, providing technical guidance.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud operations with business objectives.

• Translate the requirements from customer to tasks and work with offshore team to implement the changes, service requests and resolves incidents

Incident & Problem Management:

• Manage incident troubleshooting & resolution, and root cause analysis for applications hosted on cloud.

• Establish proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms for cloud applications.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.

Automation & Optimization:

• Implement automation for application deployment and configuration using various tools.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to industry security standards, compliance frameworks, and cloud security best practices.

• Work with security teams to conduct risk assessments and implement necessary controls.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/cloud operations, with at least 5+ years on Azure Cloud.

• Hands-on experience with Azure services and troubleshooting

• Strong knowledge of cloud monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.

• Experience in Data Platform technologies on Azure, such as Azure SQL, Synapse, or Data Lake.

• Experience with CI/CD, automation, scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM Templates).

• Proven experience leading offshore teams and working in a global delivery model.

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and the ability to handle escalations effectively.

• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305) are a plus.
