As a Software Engineer within the Goldman Sachs (GS) Digital Assets Engineering, with firm-wide mandate partnering with Goldman Sachs Digital Assets business to offer cryptocurrency and tokenized securities products, you will be using innovative Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to build and support market-leading digital platform and cryptocurrency solutions, offering new investment products and/or transforming traditional capital market processes.

You will be able to independently design and develop software solutions, work closely with business, technology and control stakeholders within Global Banking & Markets and Engineering. The products and processes you build and integrate will span across FICC, Equities and Asset Management businesses.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Design, develop and support tokenized assets software solutions using Java, smart contracts and Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) programming languages to model Real World Assets (RWA) and their issuance, trading, settlement, financing, custody and/or post trade workflows.
• Design, develop and support Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to implement and operate the distributed blockchain network and the tokenization application platform.
• Design, develop and support on/off-chain integration system which provides data model / message transformation and event processing between blockchain systems and Goldman internal systems.
• Develop strong expertise on DevOps, SRE and AWS cloud implementation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Computer Science or Engineering graduate with 1+ year of software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, Haskell, Scala and/or Python.
  Minimal 1+ years' hand-on experience and proficiency in DevOps, SRE and AWS cloud implementation.
• Ideally also having some hand-on experience and proficiency in blockchain and smart contract programming - DAML, Solidity, or Rust, etc.
• Excellent communication, analytical and self-motivated, attention to detail.
  
  Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with tokenizing RWAs, covering lifecycle processing across issuance, distribution, trading, settlement, custody and financing.
