This is a field support role where travelling from site to site is required. The role will be responsible for the physical installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware within data centers and on-site field environments. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, adheres to industry best practices, and supports the operational stability of IT infrastructure.

• Perform rack and stack activities, including mounting servers, switches, routers, storage devices, and cabling in data center racks.
• Install, de-install, and relocate hardware equipment as required.
• Ensure proper cable management, labeling, and documentation for all installed equipment.
• Conduct hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and basic repairs for server and network devices.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware deliveries and installations.
• Perform power and connectivity checks to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
• Support field deployments, including on-site hardware installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Conduct site surveys for new installations and provide technical recommendations.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities

• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on data center equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor data center infrastructure using various tools and systems to detect and address issues promptly.
• Plan and implement structured cabling systems to ensure efficient connectivity within the data center
• Oversee data centre capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Respond to data center emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, with a sense of urgency and efficiency
• Collaborate with other IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and cybersecurity professionals, to maintain a seamless data center environment

Requirements:

• Proficiency in installing and configuring data center hardware (servers, network devices)
• Experience with power distribution units (PDUs) and network patch panels.
• Basic understanding of network protocols and IP configurations.
• Provide on-site technical support for hardware issues at various field locations.
• Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in data center environments or similar roles
