We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our Global Fraud Prevention Business Intelligence (BI) team at PayPal's Global Risk Management Org. As a critical team member, the candidate will play a key role in overseeing PayPal's loss portfolio, spanning across PayPal, Venmo, Xoom, Braintree, and Zettle. This team drives crucial business decisions and plays an integral part in delivering a frictionless customer experience to power every payment. You will be directly involved in analyzing fraud loss, managing risk, and enhancing the overall customer experience, which informs the organization's strategic decisions.

In this role, you will serve as the Tech Lead within the team, entrusted with driving impactful risk initiatives and created next-generation tools to revolutionize business intelligence. You will leverage your deep domain expertise in fraud loss, risk management, and data analysis to deliver actionable solutions that improve business outcomes. You need collaborate closely with full-stack, back-end, and front-end engineers, ensuring that the team's technical solutions are integrated effectively within the broader tech ecosystem.

As part of your role, you will be responsible for designing and developing machine learning algorithms to enhance risk intelligence capabilities and deliver next-generation tooling. These advanced AI tools will be central to transforming how we visualize or analyze vast amounts of data, providing faster insights, and improving decision-making in real-time.
