Role Overview:

We're looking for a seasoned leader to drive and expand the data science capabilities within the organization. This role involves shaping the vision and strategy of the data science function, while mentoring a team to develop impactful analytical models that support key business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and scale the data science team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and technical guidance.
• Analyze large datasets and deliver meaningful insights through machine learning and deep learning methodologies to drive commercial impact.
• Design and implement advanced analytical models, including forecasting, recommendation systems, identity graphs, and performance optimization tools.
• Establish internal best practices and frameworks for data science methodologies and scalable model deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand product and business requirements, document data integration needs, and resolve data architecture inconsistencies.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the organization's data science tools, platforms, and outputs.
• Contribute to strategic and ad-hoc data science initiatives aligned with business goals.

Qualifications:

• PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in machine learning or advanced analytics, with a proven record of designing, developing, and deploying models at scale.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing data science teams.
• Deep technical knowledge and experience applying advanced analytical methods to real-world business problems.
• Proficiency in at least one statistical tool (e.g., R, SAS) and one programming language (preferably Python, Java, or C++).
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication abilities with the confidence to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Basic knowledge of data engineering and data architecture principles is an advantage.
