About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Quantitative Developer / Data Engineer to join our team at Jain Global on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, building, and optimizing the data infrastructure and research pipelines that support our discretionary and systematic trading strategies.

You will work closely with investment professionals, quantitative researchers, and technologists to develop robust, scalable systems that process and deliver data for high-impact decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance data pipelines and research infrastructure to support trading and investment teams.
• Optimize data ingestion, processing, and storage of large-scale financial and alternative datasets.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to ensure seamless data integration into modeling and analytics workflows.
• Enhance real-time and batch data processing capabilities across multiple data sources.
• Develop APIs, automation tools, and cloud-based solutions to enable scalable and reliable access to data and analytics.
• Contribute to live trading operations by building tools and systems that meet real-time performance and reliability requirements.
• Participate in architectural decisions and help shape the future of Jain Global's technology platform.

Qualifications & Skills

• Stellar acadmeic credentials (First Class Honours or equivalent) in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java, with strong knowledge of SQL and experience in distributed computing environments.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with large-scale datasets, time-series data, or real-time processing systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka) is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated interest in quantitative finance, trading systems, or systematic strategies is preferred but not required.
• Self-starter with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
