Job Description - Network Engineer L2

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the infrastructure network design, implementation, testing, security, managing

and maintenance of proposed system

2. Work closely with Team Leader to meet system delivery milestones

3. Provide technical documentation support to Project & Solutions Teams, as well as hand over as-

built system documentation to Maintenance support team

4. Engage with back-line support and/or with vendor's support to diagnose and rectify technical

problems.

5. Assist in day-to-day operation of the System Delivery team

6. Carry out other technical related duties that may be required.

7. Respond promptly to incidents and SRs

8. Perform NAC ClearPass administration for security posture check enforcement

9. Analyse network utilization pattern and problems, recommend and implement corrective and

preventive measures.

10. Provide standby and support service for network upgrades

Requirements:
CISCO and Alcatel), firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint), F5 LB and intrusion detection/protection

systems.

- Trained and minimally be proficient in the following areas:

a. Network technologies and protocols;

b. Network Configuration;

c. Network utilization and performance monitoring;

d. Network fine-tuning, problem troubleshooting, interpretation of statistics and traffic

pattern; and

e. Firewall rules configuration and security setting.

f. Able to articulate Wireshark and Network Monitoring tools

- Able to handle demanding service response and recovery turnaround

- Able to manage daily support tasks to meet stringent SLA requirements

- Excellent scheduling and multitasking skills

- Meticulous and process-oriented

- Good, hard-working attitude with ability to work well under pressure

- Good communication skills English (written, spoken)

- Good analytical skills with ability to work with others to resolve problems.

- Good organization skills, with ability to properly document and track information

- Having experience in WOG environment is a plus

- Regular 8x5 support (shift rotation but no graveyard), required to be on standby for 7x24

support. Expected to work during off-peak hours on system activities

- Good understanding with Change Management processes

- AWS and Azure experience good to have

- Minimally have the CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, or equivalent
