THE ROLE:
The role of the Workforce Development (WFD) & Sustainability (Sus) Manager to support, organize, run and create projects to support WFD & Sustainability. SEMI WFD & Sus are strategic special interest groups consisting of semiconductor designers, manufacturers, suppliers and end users. This position is responsible for supporting a variety of SEMI projects and programs including events, task forces, webinars, meetings and workshops. Programs and projects have a WFD & Sus focus, but also include aspects of education, marketing and business development.
This is a full-time, exempt position and reports directly to the Director, Business & Program Development. This position is based in Singapore.

You are passionate about building future-ready workforces while contributing to broader environmental and social impact goals. You bring a mix of HR expertise, sustainability knowledge, and strong stakeholder engagement skills, and you're comfortable navigating both corporate and public sector environments. You will also lead SEMI's University Connections initiative to increase industry visibility and to deepen the talent pipeline for the semiconductor industry and electronic manufacturing supply chain.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Workforce Development: (70%)
2. SEMI Business Development
3. Promote and evangelizing SEMI U Programs
Identify target schools; overlay visitations; coordinate delivery of information; track costs;
maintain spreadsheet of contacts made.
Sustainability: (30%)

• You increase visibility for SEMI's workforce development activities (university recruiting program, mentoring program, and industry image campaign)

FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Science preferred) or equivalent training and experience.
• 5+ years of talent acquisition, Corporate Sustainability, and/or program management experience
• Experience in hosting and/or supporting a career fair, mentoring program, and/or industry image campaign
• Ensure the integration of other SEMI programs, as appropriate, into new workforce development initiatives
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Event Content Support
- Assisting event staff by providing a technical and business content game plan
- Recruit speakers and sponsors
- Work with the WFD Council committee to develop new and compelling event agendas
- Define relevant themes and content
- Identifying new event opportunities, recruiting sponsors and speakers
2. SEMI Business Development
- Reviewing and strengthening value propositions and messaging
- Partner with educational institutions, training providers, and government agencies to develop training programs and funding opportunities.
- Present and/or represent SEMI at career fairs, seminars, and events
3. Promote and evangelizing SEMI U Programs
- Assist in identifying and creating on-line learning platform (SEMI University) content
- and develop webinar programs.
- Responsible for organization and execution of "Roadshow" events:
Identify target schools; overlay visitations; coordinate delivery of information; track costs;
maintain spreadsheet of contacts made.
Sustainability: (30%)
- Develop and execute the company's sustainability strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cross-functional sustainability projects (e.g., carbon reduction, social impact, green office practices).
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement on sustainability topics.
