Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect with a strong specialization in firewalls and networking to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with enterprise-level firewalls, routing, switching, and network security best practices. You will play a key role in ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our network infrastructure while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise network security solutions, including next-generation firewalls (NGFWs), VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switches, routers, load balancers, and wireless networks.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures to protect the organization's data and infrastructure.
• Conduct firewall rule analysis, optimization, and audits to enhance security and compliance.
• Monitor network performance and security events, responding to incidents and mitigating threats.
• Perform risk assessments and proactively identify potential vulnerabilities in network architecture.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support cloud and hybrid network architectures.
• Lead network automation and orchestration initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay updated with emerging networking and security trends, technologies, and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 7+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on firewalls and security.
• Expertise in firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, IPsec, etc.).
• Proficiency in switching and routing technologies from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
• Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud security best practices.
• Experience with network monitoring and security tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.).
• Ability to automate network tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or PowerShell.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, NSE4-7, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in zero-trust architecture and security frameworks.
• Familiarity with SIEM solutions and threat intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
