Job Description

• Manage and support end-to-end Operations activities while leading and mentoring junior developers.
• Provide ongoing application support and engage in various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Evaluate potential solutions and make informed recommendations to address business challenges.
• Participate in the system integration testing phase prior to implementation to ensure quality and functionality.
• Build strong relationships with business users through effective communication and collaboration.
• Work closely with source systems and vendors to resolve operational issues, conduct application testing, and support application patches and upgrades in line with project methodologies and policies.
• Assist the team in defining project handover processes, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation.
• Support the program director in project budgeting and resource allocation.
• Manage a team of 2-4 members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify technical issues in the live operational environment to ensure seamless operations.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions and enhance operational efficiency.
• Document technical processes, issues, and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, AWS services, Databricks, and/or Informatica IDMC, Sagemaker, Teradata.
• At least 5 years of experience in visualization tools such as Oracle Analytics Server, Tableau.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for building data pipelines.
• Evaluate potential technical solutions and make recommendations to resolve data issues especially on performance assessment for complex data transformations and long running data processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with data modeling and schema design.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty), Databricks certifications, and Informatica certifications are a plus.
