Technical Lead - Rapid Applications Development (RAD) for Low Code Platforms.
Role Overview: The Rapid Application Development (RAD) Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and implementation of low-code applications like Microsoft PowerApps and Mendix, transforming business processes and user experiences. This role requires a strong technical lead with a deep understanding of low-code platforms in addition to the experience of web applications development as the foundational knowledge to rapidly deliver high-quality solutions through agile application development methodologies. The RAD Technical Lead is responsible for guiding a team of developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in the Low code platform space.
The RAD technical lead will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications. The expertise in technical leadership, agile application development/delivery, and low-code development will be critical in driving the successful execution of projects within time and budget constraints
The ideal candidate should have a passion for leveraging technology to understand and solve complex business problems, a strong technical acumen, and excellent communication skills. You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest trends in low-code development and agile methodologies and continually evaluate and integrate new technologies and practices to enhance the development process. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive code reviews, establishing quality assurance processes, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, design principles, and architecture best practices. Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team, facilitating technical discussions and decision-making processes. Lead the design and architecture of complex, scalable, and robust low-code applications.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish quality assurance processes, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality applications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Process Governance: Establish and enforce process governance standards (ASM RAD Process) to ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Agile Methodology (ASM RAD): Implement, follow and promote agile application development methodologies to enhance flexibility, collaboration, and efficiency in the development process for accelerated delivery.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
- DevOps: Implement and maintain DevOps practices and tools to automate and streamline development, testing, support processes.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in low-code development and integrate new technologies and practices into the development process.
- Team Building: Foster a positive team environment, encourage professional growth, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Enablement and Training: Develop, deliver training plans and programs to ensure team members are proficient in low-code platforms and development methodologies. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and minimize disruptions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background:A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Certifications, such as the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) or an equivalent, as well as expert-level certifications in PowerApps, Mendix, or similar platforms, are highly advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years IT experience, with at least 3 years of experience in Low Code Applications hands on development and expertise in technically leading a team.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in various application management tools and platforms is essential and possess a strong understanding of systems architecture, integration, and APIs.Foundation: knowledge of full stack development experience with C#, C#.net, RDBMS & SQL or equivalent.
RAD: BPM or LCP tools (Like K2, PowerApps, Mendix, OutSystems or equivalent), RPA (Microsoft Power Automate, UI Path, Automation anywhere or equivalent).
Integrations: Understanding of API architecture and best practices for security, scalability, and performance. Hands on experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs. - Methodological Skills: Expertise in agile application development methodologies, ensuring flexibility, collaboration, and efficiency in the development process.
- Project Management: Experience and ability to define scope, objectives and deliverables with strong stakeholders and time management skills.
- Governance and Best Practices: A robust understanding of IT governance frameworks and compliance standards is important for this role in addition to the knowledge of data security practices, regulations, and ensure compliant data handling across applications.
- Additional Skills: Experience or exposure to building integration solutions to SAP ERP systems integrations (SAP ECC or SAP HANA) is an added advantage.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Ability to influence internal business stakeholders with strong customer-facing capability.
- Vendor Management: Vendor (resources) compliance management with company standards, maintains sufficient inventory, and oversees the timely and quality delivery.
