The Linux Systems Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting In-Place Upgrade (IPU) and Tech Refresh projects, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of IT services aligned with SLAs. This hands-on role involves maintaining system integrity, adhering to IT security policies, and collaborating with global teams to resolve issues, manage risks, and improve operational processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.

- Manage production security projects, including upgrades and system maintenance.
- Support operating systems: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (7.x/8.x/9.x) and Ubuntu (16.x/18.x/20.x/22.x).
- Perform in-place upgrades and resolve related issues.
- Maintain and set up Veritas and OpenSVC clusters.
- Communicate status updates and resolution timelines to stakeholders.
- Support Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Incident Management activities.
- Escalate critical issues to management promptly.
- Implement audit recommendations and contribute to permanent control measures.
- Participate in Control Plan activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to reporting and resolving incidents according to Incident Management protocols.
Requirements :
- 8+ years of experience in Linux system administration and support.
- Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu operating systems.
- Proficiency in Veritas and OpenSVC cluster setup and daily operations.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible playbooks for automation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work on complex IT projects autonomously or in a team.
- Availability for weekend work, on-call duties, and incident response.
- Proficient in documenting audits, reports, and IT procedures.
- Familiarity with low-latency or electronic trading networks is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Ansible Tower, Centrify, Veritas, and BMC software.
- Experience with VSAN, iSCSI, DAS, NAS, and SAN storage technologies.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or other programming languages.
- Experience with Agile methodologies or working in DevOps environments.
