Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced System and Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our computer systems and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems and network.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file sharing.

2. Network Administration: Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

3. System Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats.

4. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve system and network issues, including hardware and software problems.

5. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system and network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.

7. Collaboration: Work with other IT staff, developers, and end-users to resolve technical issues and implement new systems and services.

8. Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in system and network administration.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree / diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

2. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in system and network administration.

3. Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent certifications.

4. Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).

5. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

6. Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Nice to Have:

1. Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

2. Scripting: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).

3. ITIL: Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
